This series of photographs and compositions illustrate the static and kinetic relationship, of one moving - or not moving - through space. Drawing inspiration from George Perec's 'Species of Spaces and Other Pieces', this series explores the beauty of inertia . The identity of the being, nor the identity of the space is important, yet the relationship between these two is material.

GEORGE PERECA short film inspired by George Perec's 'Species of Spaces and Other Pieces'. This film expresses the act of being idle/doing nothing and experiencing the space, aiming to rewrite the negative narrative of being 'idle' as not something that can harm a person but rather allow them to experience the energy of different spaces. My use of short and sharp scenes of banal life paired with the spoken text in French creates a contemplative energy, encouraging the viewer to evaluate whether they are being guided by space enough.
